Sandwich ELISA - Mouse MER ELISA Kit (AB210572)
Interpolated concentrations of native MER in mouse serum and plasma samples.
The concentrations of MER were measured in duplicates, interpolated from the MER standard curves and corrected for sample dilution. Undiluted samples are as follows : serum 20%, plasma (citrate) 20%, plasma (heparin) 20% and plasma (EDTA) 20%. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean MER concentration was determined to be 27.7 ng/mL in serum, 28.6 ng/mL in plasma (citrate), 37.1 ng/mL in plasma (heparin) and 37.8 ng/mL in plasma (EDTA).

Sandwich ELISA - Mouse MER ELISA Kit (AB210572)
Interpolated concentrations of native MER in mouse pancreas extract based on a 1,000 μg/mL extract load.
The concentrations of MER were measured in duplicate and interpolated from the MER standard curve and corrected for sample dilution. The interpolated dilution factor corrected values are plotted (mean +/- SD, n=2). The mean MER concentration was determined to be 3.64 ng/mL in pancreas extract.

제품 세부 정보
Mouse MER ELISA Kit (ab210572) is a single-wash 90 min sandwich ELISA designed for the quantitative measurement of MER protein in plasma, serum, tissue extracts, and cell culture supernatant. It uses our proprietary SimpleStep ELISA® technology. Quantitate Mouse MER with 27.8 pg/ml sensitivity.
SimpleStep ELISA® technology employs capture antibodies conjugated to an affinity tag that is recognized by the monoclonal antibody used to coat our SimpleStep ELISA® plates. This approach to sandwich ELISA allows the formation of the antibody-analyte sandwich complex in a single step, significantly reducing assay time. See the SimpleStep ELISA® protocol summary in the image section for further details. Our SimpleStep ELISA® technology provides several benefits:
- Single-wash protocol reduces assay time to 90 minutes or less
- High sensitivity, specificity and reproducibility from superior antibodies
- Fully validated in biological samples
- 96-wells plate breakable into 12 x 8 wells strips
A 384-well SimpleStep ELISA® microplate (ab203359) is available to use as an alternative to the 96-well microplate provided with SimpleStep ELISA® kits.
MER is a receptor tyrosine kinase that regulates a variety of cellular processes, including cell survival, migration, differentiation and efferocytosis along with the immune response.

Biological function summary
The receptor MERTK orchestrates processes critical for maintaining cellular homeostasis such as efferocytosis and immune response regulation. It does not operate alone but often interacts with other cellular components to form functional complexes. This protein contributes significantly to phagocytosis a cellular process for clearing apoptotic cells ensuring a controlled immune environment.
Pathways
Several signal transduction pathways involve c-Mer tyrosine kinase in maintaining cellular communication. Notably it participates in the RAS/MAPK and PI3K/AKT pathways which are essential for cell survival and proliferation. These pathways involve interactions with proteins such as GAB1 and SOS highlighting the receptor's integration in cell signaling networks.
