CWC15 also known as CWC15 spliceosome-associated protein homolog plays a role in RNA splicing. It is a protein with a mass of approximately 16 kDa. CWC15 is expressed in various human tissues but it shows higher expression in hematopoietic cells. Its mechanical function involves facilitating the splicing of pre-mRNA by associating with the spliceosome a large ribonucleoprotein complex.
Biological function summary

CWC15 contributes to RNA processing within cells. It forms part of the spliceosome complex which is critical for the modification of pre-mRNA to mature mRNA. This modification process is necessary for proper gene expression and cellular function.
