DDX19A also known as ATP-dependent RNA helicase DDX19A is a protein that functions mechanically as an RNA helicase. It unwinds RNA structures using energy derived from ATP hydrolysis. This protein has a mass of approximately 48 kDa. DDX19A predominantly expresses in the cytoplasm and nucleus of cells. Its function as an RNA helicase is integral to processes like RNA export where it facilitates the remodeling of RNA-protein complexes contributing to the dynamic RNA lifecycle in eukaryotic cells.
