MORC4 also known as MORC family CW-type zinc finger protein 4 is a protein that plays a role in chromatin remodeling and DNA isolation. MORC4 has an approximate molecular mass of 117 kDa. Expression occurs widely but is especially present in tissues such as testis and ovary indicating its involvement in reproductive processes. This distribution hints that MORC4 may have a specialized function in regulating gene expression within these cells.

Biological function summary

MORC4 functions as part of the chromatin remodeling complex which influences gene transcription by modifying the chromatin structure.
