MRPL41 also known as mitochondrial ribosomal protein L41 plays an important role in protein synthesis within the mitochondria. This protein is a component of the large 39S subunit of mitochondrial ribosome with a molecular mass estimated around 25 kDa. It is expressed primarily in mitochondria across various tissues implying a wide-ranging function associated with cellular energy production and metabolism.
