제품 세부 정보

ab242385 is the carrier-free version of ab109406.

Patented technology
Our RabMAb® technology is a patented hybridoma-based technology for making rabbit monoclonal antibodies. For details on our patents, please refer to RabMAb® patents.

What are the advantages of a recombinant monoclonal antibody?
This product is a recombinant monoclonal antibody, which offers several advantages including:

  • - High batch-to-batch consistency and reproducibility
  • - Improved sensitivity and specificity
  • - Long-term security of supply
  • - Animal-free batch production

For more information, read more on recombinant antibodies.

Conjugation ready
Our carrier-free antibodies are typically supplied in a PBS-only formulation, purified and free of BSA, sodium azide and glycerol. This conjugation-ready format is designed for use with fluorochromes, metal isotopes, oligonucleotides, and enzymes, which makes them ideal for antibody labelling, functional and cell-based assays, flow-based assays (e.g. mass cytometry) and Multiplex Imaging applications.

Use our conjugation kits for antibody conjugates that are ready-to-use in as little as 20 minutes with 1 minute hands-on-time and 100% antibody recovery: available for fluorescent dyes, HRP, biotin and gold.

Compatibility
This product is compatible with the Maxpar® Antibody Labeling Kit from Fluidigm, without the need for antibody preparation. Maxpar® is a trademark of Fluidigm Canada Inc.

NeuroD2 also known as Neuronal Differentiation 2 is a transcription factor involved in neurogenesis. It weighs approximately 40 kDa. This protein is part of the basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) family which regulates gene expression. NeuroD2 is expressed mainly in the nervous system particularly in the developing brain and certain adult brain regions. Its expression pattern suggests an important role in neural development and maintenance.
Biological function summary

NeuroD2 influences neuronal differentiation and survival. It guides precursor cells toward a neuronal fate influencing neurogenesis and impacting brain structure. NeuroD2 does not form large protein complexes but interacts closely with other bHLH transcription factors. These interactions help regulate the transcription of genes necessary for the development and maturation of neurons.

Pathways

Transcription factors such as NeuroD2 play key roles in the neurogenesis pathway and the calcium signaling pathway. It operates in tandem with other proteins like NeuroD1 to effectively guide neural precursor cells toward differentiation into mature neurons. Through these pathways NeuroD2 helps regulate genes that are important for brain development and function.

Abnormal NeuroD2 expression relates to neurological conditions like autism spectrum disorders and certain types of epilepsy. Mutations or dysregulation in NeuroD2 can affect associated proteins like REST (RE1-Silencing Transcription factor) which plays a role in neuronal gene silencing. Understanding these connections provides insights into how NeuroD2 influences neural-related diseases and offers potential targets for therapeutic intervention.

타겟 정보

Transcriptional regulator implicated in neuronal determination. Mediates calcium-dependent transcription activation by binding to E box-containing promoter. Critical factor essential for the repression of the genetic program for neuronal differentiation; prevents the formation of synaptic vesicle clustering at active zone to the presynaptic membrane in postmitotic neurons. Induces transcription of ZEB1, which in turn represses neuronal differentiation by down-regulating REST expression. Plays a role in the establishment and maturation of thalamocortical connections; involved in the segregation of thalamic afferents into distinct barrel domains within layer VI of the somatosensory cortex. Involved in the development of the cerebellar and hippocampal granular neurons, neurons in the basolateral nucleus of amygdala and the hypothalamic-pituitary axis. Associates with chromatin to the DPYSL3 E box-containing promoter (By similarity).
