We have systematically measured KD (the equilibrium dissociation constant between the antibody and its antigen), of more than 840 recombinant antibodies to assess not only their individual KD values but also to see the average affinity of antibody. Based on the comparison with published literature values for mouse monoclonal antibodies, Recombinant antibodies appear to be on average 1-2 order of magnitude higher affinity.

제품 세부 정보

ab248699 is the carrier-free version of ab134141.

Conjugation ready
Our carrier-free antibodies are typically supplied in a PBS-only formulation, purified and free of BSA, sodium azide and glycerol. This conjugation-ready format is designed for use with fluorochromes, metal isotopes, oligonucleotides, and enzymes, which makes them ideal for antibody labelling, functional and cell-based assays, flow-based assays (e.g. mass cytometry) and Multiplex Imaging applications.

Use our conjugation kits for antibody conjugates that are ready-to-use in as little as 20 minutes with 1 minute hands-on-time and 100% antibody recovery: available for fluorescent dyes, HRP, biotin and gold.

Compatibility
This product is compatible with the Maxpar® Antibody Labeling Kit from Fluidigm, without the need for antibody preparation. Maxpar® is a trademark of Fluidigm Canada Inc.

NMBR or Neuromedin B Receptor is a G protein-coupled receptor involved in binding and signaling of the neuropeptide neuromedin B. Frequently called the bombesin receptor subtype-1 (BB1) this receptor has an approximate molecular mass of around 44 kDa. NMBR is widely expressed in peripheral tissues and the central nervous system particularly in the hypothalamus and pituitary gland. Its structure enables it to play a role in signal transduction by activating phospholipase C pathways when bound by its ligand.
Biological function summary

NMBR contributes to various physiological processes including regulation of metabolism and energy balance by controlling appetite and satiety signals. It functions independently without forming part of a larger protein complex. Expression of NMBR in the gastrointestinal tract indicates its potential role in gastrointestinal functioning and smooth muscle contraction. This receptor's interaction with neuromedin B plays an important biological role by modulating these physiological pathways making it an essential component of body regulations such as thermoregulation and stress response.

Pathways

NMBR is significant in the bombesin-related peptide signaling pathways and also in the phosphoinositide pathway associated with energy balance. It interacts closely with bombesin and similar peptide receptors impacting intracellular calcium levels and influencing cellular activities through the PKC pathway (protein kinase C). NMBR's interaction with these pathways shows its role in coordinating complex cellular responses and indicates collaboration with related proteins like neuromedin U receptor for similar regulatory functions.

NMBR has links with conditions such as obesity and lung cancer. In obesity it modulates appetite possibly through interaction with proteins like leptin receptor contributing to energy homeostasis. In lung cancer research indicates that NMBR might influence proliferation of cancer cells in some cases through pathways involving other receptors like GRPR (gastrin-releasing peptide receptor). The receptor's involvement in these diseases highlights its potential as a therapeutic target and points to the broader implications of its regulatory actions in pathology.

타겟 정보

Receptor for neuromedin-B (PubMed : 1655761). Contributes to the maintenance of basal sigh rate through signaling in the pre-Botzinger complex, a cluster of several thousand neurons in the ventrolateral medulla responsible for inspiration during respiratory activity (By similarity). Contributes to the induction of sneezing following exposure to chemical irritants or allergens which causes release of NMB by nasal sensory neurons and activation of NMBR-expressing neurons in the sneeze-evoking region of the brainstem (By similarity). These in turn activate neurons of the caudal ventral respiratory group, giving rise to the sneezing response (By similarity). Contributes to induction of acute itch, possibly through its activation on dorsal root ganglion neurons by the NMB peptide (By similarity). Plays a role in the innate immune response to influenza A virus infection by enhancing interferon alpha expression and reducing expression of IL6 (PubMed : 31601264). Plays a role in CSF1-induced proliferation of osteoclast precursors by contributing to the positive regulation of the expression of the CSF1 receptor CSF1R (By similarity).
