Blocking and diluting buffer and concentration : 5% NFDM/TBST
The expression profile/molecular weight observed is consistent with what has been described in the literature (PMID : 7559471).
Low expression : HCT-15 (PMID : 16530191).
This antibody reacts with an unidentifiable protein around 36 kDa.
Exposure time : Lane 1-2 : 37 seconds ; Lane 3-6 : 136 seconds.

NMT2 participates in the post-translational modification of proteins which impacts cellular signaling and protein-protein interactions. It exists within a myristoylation enzyme complex working alongside its isoform NMT1 which complements its activity. NMT2 influences pathways involving protein trafficking and cell growth playing a role in membrane localization and signal transduction of several key proteins.
Pathways
NMT2 actively engages in the Wnt signaling and protein kinase C (PKC) pathways. These pathways contribute to regulating cell fate decisions and cellular responses to extracellular signals. NMT2 shares pathway interaction with proteins like beta-catenin in the Wnt pathway and is linked with PKC isoforms within the PKC pathway. This involvement affects cytoskeleton organization cellular proliferation and apoptosis.
