PITPNC1 also known as Phosphatidylinositol Transfer Protein Cytoplasmic 1 is an important lipid transfer protein that binds to phosphatidylinositol and phosphatidylcholine. It plays a vital role in lipid signaling and membrane dynamics transporting phospholipids between cellular membranes. With a mass of approximately 36 kDa PITPNC1 is expressed in several tissues including the brain liver and lungs and highly in various cancerous tissues.
Biological function summary

PITPNC1 influences cellular growth movement and behavior. It is involved in the regulation of Golgi function and vesicular trafficking. PITPNC1 acts independently but can associate with other proteins influencing their functions.
