PPM1B also known as protein phosphatase 1B is a serine/threonine phosphatase with a molecular mass of approximately 55 kDa. This protein plays an important role in dephosphorylating serine/threonine residues on its target proteins adjusting their functional states. PPM1B is widely expressed in various tissues throughout the body including the heart skeletal muscle and liver.
