Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence - Anti-SCGB3A2 antibody [EPR11463] - BSA and Azide free (AB240255)
Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence analysis of A549 (human lung carcinoma) labelling SCGB3A2 with purified ab181853 at 1/500. Cells were fixed with 100% methanol. An Alexa Fluor® 488-conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG (1/1000) was used as the secondary antibody (ab150077). Nuclei counterstained with DAPI (blue).

This data was developed using the same antibody clone in a different buffer formulation containing PBS, BSA, glycerol, and sodium azide (ab181853).

Biological function summary
SCGB3A2 acts as an anti-inflammatory agent that modulates immune cell activity and cytokine signaling within the lungs. It does not form known protein complexes but interacts with other immune mediators to reduce inflammation. Furthermore SCGB3A2 has roles in cell proliferation and repair mechanisms especially in response to lung injury. Its interaction with various cytokines supports tissue regeneration and homeostasis making it important in maintaining lung function.
Pathways
SCGB3A2 interacts in immune regulatory pathways significant in lung tissue.
