TR150 also known as Transcription Regulator 150 is a protein with a molecular mass of approximately 150 kDa. You can find its expression in various tissues with higher levels in liver and brain tissues. Mechanically TR150 acts as a transcriptional regulator and binds directly to DNA to modulate the expression of different genes. Its capability to bind specific DNA sequences allows it to influence gene transcription effectively.

Involved in pre-mRNA splicing. Remains associated with spliced mRNA after splicing which probably involves interactions with the exon junction complex (EJC). Can trigger mRNA decay which seems to be independent of nonsense-mediated decay involving premature stop codons (PTC) recognition. May be involved in nuclear mRNA decay.
