We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%.

GPR15 also known as G protein-coupled receptor 15 is a receptor involved in cell signaling. It has a molecular mass of approximately 41 kDa. This receptor is expressed mainly in intestinal tissues but also appears in a variety of immune cells including certain T-cells. GPR15 participates in chemokine signaling processes by binding extracellular ligands and mediating signals inside the cell through interaction with G proteins which then trigger downstream pathways.
Biological function summary

G protein-coupled receptor 15 regulates immune responses and contributes to maintaining the integrity of the intestinal epithelial barrier. It serves as a homing receptor guiding the migration of T-cells to specific tissues especially in the gut. This function is critical for both gut immune homeostasis and inflammatory responses. Although part of the larger G protein-coupled receptor complex family it operates mainly as an individual entity orchestrating responses to environmental signals.

Pathways

Signals initiated by G protein-coupled receptor 15 affect the MAPK/ERK pathway which plays a pivotal role in cell division differentiation and survival. These pathways connect GPR15 functionally to various proteins such as Ras and Raf which are also central to the path regulation.
