Uba6 also known as ubiquitin-like modifier activating enzyme 6 is an E1-like ubiquitin-activating enzyme. It has an approximate mass of around 120 kDa. This enzyme facilitates the activation of ubiquitin and similar proteins by catalyzing the formation of a ubiquitin-adenylate intermediate.
