Some products in our catalog are delivered at ambient temperature rather than chilled. Ambient shipping is currently available in specific regions only (US and EMEA). ​

This is an important step towards shipping more sustainably. For eligible ambient shipments, we’ve moved to paper-based, recyclable packaging to reduce the use of hard-to-recycle materials. This change will remove an estimated 6.3 tons or more of expanded polystyrene (EPS) from our ambient shipments each year.​

It also means a major reduction in packaging overall. For eligible ambient shipments, we’re cutting packaging weight from approximately 55,000 lbs to 5,000 lbs annually, a reduction of more than 90%. That would mean avoiding around 24 tons of excess packaging material every year.​

By expanding ambient shipping, we can also avoid using more than 18 tons of ice packs per year. This helps reduce single-use materials while still protecting product quality.​

Quality remains our priority. Extensive stability testing confirmed that these products are suitable for shipment under ambient conditions and maintain the performance you expect.​

This initial update applies to a selection of antibodies in the standard formulation. We’ll continue to assess other primary recombinant antibodies across our portfolio to understand which additional products may also be suitable for ambient shipping.

What you need to know

• Ambient shipments are clearly marked on the delivery note.​
• No ice is included in ambient shipments.​
• Mixed orders that include both ambient and cold-chain items will still arrive with ice packs to protect temperature-sensitive products.​
• Warranty coverage remains fully valid, in line with our validated shipping method.​
• Store all products as directed in the datasheet as soon as they arrive.​
