Abpromise guarantee covers the use of
in the following tested applications.
The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
1/5000. Detects a band of approximately 35 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 37 kDa).
Fermentation; pyruvate fermentation to lactate; (S)-lactate from pyruvate: step 1/1.
Involvement in disease
Note=Defects in LDHB result in deficiency of lactate dehydrogenase, a condition with no clear symptomatic consequences. Lactate dehydrogenase deficiency can probably be considered a non-disease.
Belongs to the LDH/MDH superfamily. LDH family.

Western blot - Anti-Lactate Dehydrogenase B antibody [EP1565Y] (HRP) (ab208366)
Anti-Lactate Dehydrogenase B antibody [EP1565Y] (HRP) (ab208366) at 1/5000 dilution +
HeLa whole cell lysate ( ab150035) at 10 µg Developed using the ECL technique. Performed under reducing conditions. Predicted band size: 37 kDa Observed band size: 35 kDa ( why is the actual band size different from the predicted?) Exposure time: 30 seconds
This blot was produced using a 4-12% Bis-tris gel under the MOPS buffer system. The gel was run at 200V for 50 minutes before being transferred onto a Nitrocellulose membrane at 30V for 70 minutes. The membrane was then blocked for an hour using 3% milk before being incubated with ab208366 overnight at 4°C. Antibody binding was visualised using ECL development solution
