Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab129306 in the following tested applications.
The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
|WB||Use at an assay dependent concentration. Preliminary experiments gave an approx 100kDa band in Mouse Kidney lysates after 0.3 ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 41.6kDa according to Human NP_002307.1 and to Mouse NP_034855.1. The 100kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.|
|IHC-P||Use a concentration of 2.5 - 3.75 µg/ml. Perform heat mediated antigen retrieval with citrate buffer pH 6 before commencing with IHC staining protocol.|
FunctionEssential for the specification of dorsal limb fate at both the zeugopodal and autopodal levels.
Tissue specificityExpressed in most tissues. Highest levels in testis, thyroid, duodenum, skeletal muscle, and pancreatic islets.
Involvement in diseaseDefects in LMX1B are the cause of nail-patella syndrome (NPS) [MIM:161200]; also known as onychoosteodysplasia. NPS is a disease that cause abnormal skeletal patterning and renal dysplasia.
Sequence similaritiesContains 1 homeobox DNA-binding domain.
Contains 2 LIM zinc-binding domains.
