Application Abreviews Notes
ELISA Use a concentration of 0.5 µg/ml. (using 100µl/well antibody solution). Allows the detection of 0.2 - 0.4 ng/well of recombinant mMIP-1a.
Neutralising Use a concentration of 2 - 5 µg/ml. for one-half maximal inhibition [ND50] of the biological activity of mMIP-1a (10 ng/ml).
WB Use a concentration of 0.1 - 0.2 µg/ml.


  • Function

    Monokine with inflammatory and chemokinetic properties. Binds to CCR1, CCR4 and CCR5. One of the major HIV-suppressive factors produced by CD8+ T-cells. Recombinant MIP-1-alpha induces a dose-dependent inhibition of different strains of HIV-1, HIV-2, and simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV).

For both antibodies, we guarantee them on mouse samples, but we have not necessarily tested them in in-vivo studies.

For ab9927, we recommend to start with a concentration of 2 - 5 µg/ml. for one-half maximal inhibition [ND50] of the biological activity of mMIP-1a (10 ng/ml).

For ab10382, mouse MIP1 alpha was tested for its ability to neutralize the bioactivity of recombinant, mouse MIP1 alpha in a cell proliferation assay using hematopoietic stem cells at a concentration of 3 µg/ml.

As to how much you would need for 20 mouse, I am unable to provide a good estimate of that and would requires some optimization at your end before placing a larger order.
