Question

I would like to use this kit for detection of maleimide that has been coated on the surface of a matrix. Does this kit generate a fluorophore that is soluble or that is affixed to the maleimide?

Thank you for contacting us. My colleague from the lab believes that you will be able to get a good signal by removing the solution, coverslipping your slides, and observing the signal under the microscope. This has not been tested, however, so I would recommend testing the solution in a plate reader as well, just to make sure you are not losing your signal.
