Tight junctions (TJ) prevent leakage of solutes through the paracellular pathway of epithelial cells. MARVELD2, or tricellulin (TRIC), is an integral membrane protein concentrated at the vertically oriented TJ strands of tricellular contacts. It plays a role in the formation of the epithelial barriers.
Detection of MARVELD2 in Immunoprecipitates of HeLa whole cell lysates (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) using ab176812 at 3 µg/mg lysate for IP (Lane 1). For WB detection ab176812 was used at 0.4 µg/ml. Lane 2 represents control IgG IP. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.
