Application Abreviews Notes
ELISA Use at an assay dependent concentration.
Sandwich ELISA Use a concentration of 1 µg/ml. Can be paired for Sandwich ELISA with Rabbit polyclonal to MCP1 (ab9669).

For sandwich ELISA, use this antibody as Capture at 1µg/ml with ab9669 as Detection.

IHC-P Use a concentration of 10 µg/ml.
WB Use a concentration of 0.2 - 0.4 µg/ml.

Target

  • Function
    Chemotactic factor that attracts monocytes and basophils but not neutrophils or eosinophils. Augments monocyte anti-tumor activity. Has been implicated in the pathogenesis of diseases characterized by monocytic infiltrates, like psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis or atherosclerosis. May be involved in the recruitment of monocytes into the arterial wall during the disease process of atherosclerosis.

    modifications
    Processing at the N-terminus can regulate receptor and target cell selectivity. Deletion of the N-terminal residue converts it from an activator of basophil to an eosinophil chemoattractant.

Therefore, you will not need to do any further reconstitution, and I can suggest to ensure it is stored as stated on the datasheet:

Store at +4oC short term (1-2 weeks). Aliquot and store at -20oC long term. Avoid repeated freeze / thaw cycles.
