  • Function
    Plays an important role in the maintenance of intestinal epithelial homeostasis and the promotion of mucosal healing. Promotes VEGF-dependent neovascularization (By similarity). Contributes to phagocytic removal of apoptotic cells in many tissues. Specific ligand for the alpha-v/beta-3 and alpha-v/beta-5 receptors. Also binds to phosphatidylserine-enriched cell surfaces in a receptor-independent manner. Zona pellucida-binding protein which may play a role in gamete interaction. Binds specifically to rotavirus and inhibits its replication.
    Medin is the main constituent of aortic medial amyloid.

Nos anticorps anti hMFG1 sont des anticorps monoclonaux contre la protéine totale hMFG1, et nous ne savons pas ou se situe l'épitope. Cependant, j'ai effectué une recherche d'homologie entre les formes 1 et 8 et vous trouverez en attachement les résultats de celle-ci. La forme hMFG1 est composée de 335 acides aminés, la forme hMFG8 de ces même 335 acides aminés, plus une partie non homologue, ce qui forme au total une protéine de 387 acides aminés. Comme les anticorps monoclonaux sont en fait contre une partie identique aux deux protéines, nous pouvons prédire qu'ils réagiront également contre hMFG8. Comme cela n'a pas été testé je ne peux pas vous le garantir, mais j'espère que ces données vous aiderons dans votre recherche.
