Mouse Antibody Purification Kit - Nanoparticles (ab204910) removes contaminants often found in commercial antibodies (e.g. BSA, glycine, tris and azide) that interfere in conjugation reactions with nanoparticles particles using our nanoparticle conjugation kits (Gold, Latex, Europium and Magnetic). It can also be used to purify mouse antibodies from crude samples such as ascites fluid. The purification system can be used with antibody volumes from 100-500 μL. 20 to 150 μg of antibody can be purified in each test.
The method involves capturing the mouse antibody on Mouse Resin and removing unwanted substances by a simple wash procedure, which is performed in a standard microfuge. The purified antibody is then eluted and neutralized.
Antibodies purified using the Mouse Antibody Purification Kit - Nanoparticles are fully compatible with our Gold antibody conjugation kits, Magnetic particle conjugation kits, Latex and Europium conjugation kits (available separately). To purify antibodies for use with our other conjugation kits, we recommend our Mouse Antibody Purification Kit ab128745.
(1) The Mouse Antibody Purification Kit - Nanoparticles is not suitable for use with antibodies from other species.
(2) The binding strength of bovine IgG to the Mouse Resin is negligible.
This product is manufactured by Expedeon, an Abcam company, and has previously been called AbPure™ Mouse Specific Purification System and GOLD mouse antibody purification kit. 261-0005 is the same as the 1 test size. 261-0010 is the same as the 3 tests size.
