I am interested with the mouse IGF1 ELISA kit with Cat No as ab100695. It showed that the assay is used for free IGF1 measurement. I wonder whether IGFBPs interference has been tested for this assay? Can you share me some validation data regarding this issue? Some other vendors suggests that IGFBPs interfere IGF1 measurement significantly.

Indeed our kits measures only free IGF-1, and the reason is because IGFBPs bind up IGF-1 and restrict it from binding the assay. That is why some companies suggest a treatment step to limit/remove that binding and allow a total calculation of IGF-1 measurement. So, knowing that IGFBPs can affect the measurement, we clarify our kits as binding only free IGF-1, ie that not bound by the IGFBPs.
