It is unknown as to which constant region of the heavy chain this antibody recognises, so we do not know if this antibody could distinguish between the two.

Answer

We have not tested the cross reactivity of this antibody with chimpanzee or with any other monkey IgA or with other monkey Ig classes. Its cross reativity with human IgG is below 0.3% and with human IgM(plasma) 2.6%. Human IgM(Waldenström's macroglobulinemia) cross reacts less than 0.3%.
