  • General notes

Ab245826 is the carrier-free version of ab245190. This format is designed for use in antibody labeling, including fluorochromes, metal isotopes, oligonucleotides, enzymes.

Our carrier-free formats are supplied in a buffer free of BSA, sodium azide and glycerol for higher conjugation efficiency.

Use our conjugation kits  for antibody conjugates that are ready-to-use in as little as 20 minutes with <1 minute hands-on-time and 100% antibody recovery: available for fluorescent dyes, HRP, biotin and gold.

ab245826 is compatible with the Maxpar® Antibody Labeling Kit from Fluidigm.

Maxpar® is a trademark of Fluidigm Canada Inc.

Our RabMAb® technology is a patented hybridoma-based technology for making rabbit monoclonal antibodies. For details on our patents, please refer to RabMab® patents.

Applications

Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab245826 in the following tested applications.

The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Application Abreviews Notes
WB Use at an assay dependent concentration. Detects a band of approximately 81, 60 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 81 kDa).
  • Application notes
Is unsuitable for ICC/IF,IHC-Fr,IHC-P or IP.
  • Target

    • Function

Probably has no proteolytic activity, since crucial characteristic of serine proteases catalytic sites are not conserved.
    • Sequence similarities

Belongs to the peptidase S1 family. Plasminogen subfamily.
      Contains 4 kringle domains.
      Contains 1 PAN domain.
      Contains 1 peptidase S1 domain.
    • Post-translational
      modifications

May be cleaved after Arg-483, to yield two chains held together by disulfide bonds, or two separate polypeptides.
    • Cellular localization

      Secreted.

Pro-MSP is proteolytically cleaved into alpha and beta chain. The expression profile and molecular weight observed is consistent with what has been described in the literature (PMID: 8393443;8609228;7732008;11856768).

This data was developed using the same antibody clone in a different buffer formulation containing PBS, BSA, glycerol, and sodium azide (ab245190).
