I read in your Complex IV Playbook, page 3 fig.1 that you can detect complex IV mosaicism with the two primary ab MS404 (cytochrome c oxidase) and MS507 (total mitochondria). I bought these two antibodies from you but when I should do the staining I realized that both antibodies you recommend in the playbook are originated in mouse. Did I misunderstand your suggestion in the play book, or do you have other antibodies that are not produced in the same species. Which secondary antibodies do you suggest for this staining. Best regards,

Thank you for contacting us. These antibodies are indeed raised in mouse and these antibodies will work better in human, mouse, rat cells and tissue sections. In case you are planning to use these antibodies on mouse tissue sections then we would recommend following additional blocking steps as given in the attached document https://www.abcam.com/index.html?pageconfig=resource&rid=11465 We do have anti MTCO1 antibodies that are raised in Rabbit. The catalogue numbers are ab45918; https://www.abcam.com/MTCO1-antibody-Mitochondrial-Marker-ab45918.html And ab90668; https://www.abcam.com/MTCO1-antibody-ab90668.html I hope this information is helpful to you. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any more advice or information.
