    May function as a complex with the chimeric protein RUNX1/AML1-CBFA2T1/MTG8 which is produced in acute myeloid leukemia with the chromosomal translocation t(8;21). May thus be involved in the repression of AML1-dependent transcription and the induction of G-CSF/CSF3-dependent cell growth. May be a tumor suppressor gene candidate involved in myeloid tumors with the deletion of the 20q11 region.

  • IHC image of MTGR1 staining in human prostate formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section, performed on a Leica Bond system using the standard protocol F. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH6, epitope retrieval solution 1) for 20 mins. The section was then incubated with ab128164, 1µg/ml, for 15 mins at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.

    For other IHC staining systems (automated and non-automated) customers should optimize variable parameters such as antigen retrieval conditions, primary antibody concentration and antibody incubation times.

  • Detection of MTGR1 by Western Blot of Immunprecipitate.
    ab128164 at 1 µg/ml staining MTGR1 in 293T whole cell lysate immunoprecipitated using ab128164 at 6 µg/mg lysate (1 mg/IP; 20% of IP loaded/lane). Lane 2: control IgG. Predicted band size : 67 kDa.
    Detection: Chemiluminescence with exposure time of 30 seconds.
