    Question

Inquiry: regarding product: ab139732 Dear, I am looking for a specific antibody for MYT1L to perform IP with. As the epitope is at the C-terminus of the protein, I was wondering if it is located in a zinc finger domain. There is a high homology with MYT1, so does the antibody pick up this protein too? How specific is the antibody? Is there cross reactivity with any other proteins? Is it possible to request a test sample? Thank you in advance. kind regards,

    Answer

Thank you for your enquiry and your interest in our products.

This antibody (ab139732: Rabbit polyclonal to MyT1L - C-terminal) is raised against a peptide from within the last 60 amino acids of NP_055840, therefore it is not from within a zinc finger domain.

A BLAST does not show any potential cross-reaction with other proteins aside from the other three MYT1L isoforms.

If you need any further assistance in the future, please do not hesitate to contact me.
