Answer

Thank you for your inquiry. Please see my comments to the two products of interest below. ab77943, Alpha-1-acid glycoprotein (human):  This protein can be reconstituted in deionized water.  The protein can then be stored at -80C for several years at any desired concentration.  The protein should be aliquotted before freezing to avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles. ab77858, Human Hemoglobin:  This protein can be reconstituted in deionized water or neutral pH buffer.  If the protein is 0.2 micron filtered and dispensed into single use vials, it should be stable at 2-8C for several months at any concentration.  For longer term storage, the aliquots can be stored at -20C, but I suggest to verify the performance is acceptable after a freeze/thaw cycle.  Another alternative is to add a preservative such as ProClin or Kathon for storage at 2-8C, but I recommend to verify that a preservative will not affect your assay.   Please note that the oxidative state of the hemoglobin is not maintained, but these suggestions are suitable for use of the protein as a standard antigen. I hope this information was helpful. Please do not hesitate to contact me again with any further questions in this matter.
