Dear technical team, Our customer purchased 4 of ab77930 since 2010. https://www.abcam.com/Ceruloplasmin-protein-Human-ab77930.html This product is 1mg and lyophilized type but, describes as below; Reconstitute with distilled water. Please contact Abcam for lot-specific recommended volume. I think this is 1mg of protein so, if the customer add 1ml of DW in the vial, then it becomes 1mg/ml concentration. But, I don't understand 'lot-specific recommended volume'. Please explain what it means. lot# / Order# information: 699123 / 645609 887371 / 677470 855379 / 733580 GR44819 / 936774 Best regards

Thank you for your enquiry regarding ab77930. The concentration before lyophilization is lot-specific (each lot can have a different concentration). The label of the vial should indicate the actual concentration. Batch 699123: Reconstitute a 1mg vial with 167.1uL of water. This will return the product to the original protein concentration of 5.98mg/mL and to the original buffer formulation. Batch 887371 and 855379: Reconstitute a 1mg vial with 436.7uL of water. This will return the product to the original protein concentration of 2.29mg/mL and to the original buffer formulation. Batch 1104116: Reconstitute a 1mg vial with 310uL of water. This will return the product to the original protein concentration of 3.23mg/mL and to the original buffer formulation. If your customer chooses to reconstitute the vial using 1mL of water, this will result in a protein concentration of 1mg/mL, but the buffer formulation in the final reconstituted solution will be diluted. I hope this helps and if I can assist further, please do not hesitate to contact me.
