Stability and Storage
Shipped at 4°C. Store at +4°C short term (1-2 weeks). Upon delivery aliquot. Store at -20°C or -80°C. Avoid freeze / thaw cycle. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein on reconstitution (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Contaminants are less than:- 0.1% HCG 0.5% TSH 0.5% LH 0.5% GH 0.5% Prolactin. Free of HbsAg, antibodies to HIV and HCV.
This product is an active protein and may elicit a biological response in vivo, handle with caution.
ReconstitutionCentrifuge the vial prior to opening. Reconstitute in sterile distilled water to give a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml.

RelevanceFollicle stimulating hormone enables ovarian folliculogenesis to the antral follicle stage and is essential for Sertoli cell proliferation and maintenance of sperm quality in the testis. Members of the pituitary glycoprotein hormone family, of which FSH is one (see also luteinizing hormone, chorionic gonadotropin, and thyroid stimulating hormone), consist of a shared alpha chain and a beta chain encoded by a separate gene. The FSHB gene encodes the beta subunit of follicle stimulating hormone.
