  • Function

    Multifunctional protein found in plasma, ascitic fluid, cerebrospinal fluid, and urine and on the surface of many cell types. In plasma, it carries the vitamin D sterols and prevents polymerization of actin by binding its monomers. DBP associates with membrane-bound immunoglobulin on the surface of B-lymphocytes and with IgG Fc receptor on the membranes of T-lymphocytes.

Thank you for your phone call this morning. I have heard back from the lab, and was told the following information about the reconstitution of ab90920: "The protein should be reconstituted with de-ionized water to the pre-lyophilization volume. For example, the protein concentration of a recent lot is 3.73 mg/ml and the pre-lyophilization volume for 1 mg is 268 ul." For a lot with pre-lyophilized concentration of 3.1 mg/mL, the volume should be 322 uL. I apologize for the confusion and for the lack of reconstitution instructions on the vial. If you have any problems with this protein, please let me know.
