I am sorry that you are having problems with ab14590 in both IP and western blot. The antibody is covered under our Abpromise for six months and is guaranteed to work in both IP and western blot on human & mouse samples. If we cannot resolve the issue you are having with the antibody then I would be happy to process a refund.
When you say that the antibody is very poor, does that mean that you are getting no signal whatsoever? Or do you get a signal in western blot, but the antibody is not IP'ing the sample. Also I understand that you were using 3ug of antibody to IP and blotting at 1ug/ml,but have you tried to vary those concentrations, if so what were they?
If you wish to send me the IP protocol that you are using, including the troubleshooting variations that you have tried, then I would be very happy to help see if there are any suggestions I can make.
If however, you have exhausted all possible troubleshooting variations and do not think there is anything else that would improve the situation, then I would be happy to process a refund. To process that refund could you please provide me with either the Abcam order number, or PO# that was used to purchase this antibody.
