    Accessory subunit of the mitochondrial membrane respiratory chain NADH dehydrogenase (Complex I), that is believed not to be involved in catalysis. Complex I functions in the transfer of electrons from NADH to the respiratory chain. The immediate electron acceptor for the enzyme is believed to be ubiquinone.

  • NDUFA5 was immunoprecipitated from HEK-293T (human epithelial cell line from embryonic kidney transformed with large T antigen) whole cell lysate (1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) using ab241492 at 6 µg per reaction. Western blot was performed on the immunoprecipitate using ab241492 at 0.4 µg/ml.

    Lane 1: ab241492 IP in HEK-293T whole cell lysate.
    Lane 2: Control IgG IP in HEK-293T whole cell lysate.

    Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 75 seconds.
