    Serine protease inhibitor that inhibits plasminogen activators and plasmin but not thrombin. May be involved in the formation or reorganization of synaptic connections as well as for synaptic plasticity in the adult nervous system. May protect neurons from cell damage by tissue-type plasminogen activator.

Thank you for your enquiry. The sequence comparison shows only 33% identity between the ab32901 immunogenic peptide and mouse serpini2. The file for this comparison is found at this link for the next 24 hours: http://www.ebi.ac.uk/cgi-bin/clustalw/result?tool=clustalw&jobid=clustalw-20060913-15252296&poll=yes For ab16171, the comparison of the full length sequence of human serpini1 with mouse serpini2 shows 37% identity, which is very low but given that the identity is 100% in some short sequences and that this is a polyclonal, there is at least a better chance of this reacting with mouse serpini2 than ab32901: http://www.ebi.ac.uk/cgi-bin/clustalw/result?tool=clustalw&jobid=clustalw-20060913-15331390&poll=yes I hope this information helps, please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any more advice or information.
