Answer

Thank you for your inquiry. This antibody to NT3 has been tested for biological activity using an in vitro assay based on the culture of embryonic sensory neurons from the chick dorsal root ganglia. The assay is performed according to the reference given below, but essentially is as follows: Sensory neurons are dissociated from embryonic chick DRG, plated in 96 well culture dishes and incubated with 100 ng of recombinant human NT3. Antibody is added at various concentrations ranging from 0.1ug / ml to 20 ug/ ml. A dose response curve is constructed and an ED50 calculated. Ref is: Davies, L.M., 1989.
