  • General notes

ab236072 is the carrier-free version of ab168351 This format is designed for use in antibody labeling, including fluorochromes, metal isotopes, oligonucleotides, enzymes.

Our carrier-free formats are supplied in a buffer free of BSA, sodium azide and glycerol for higher conjugation efficiency.

Use our conjugation kits  for antibody conjugates that are ready-to-use in as little as 20 minutes with <1 minute hands-on-time and 100% antibody recovery: available for fluorescent dyes, HRP, biotin and gold.

Ab236072 is compatible with the Maxpar® Antibody Labeling Kit from Fluidigm.

Maxpar® is a trademark of Fluidigm Canada Inc.

This antibody was developed as part of a collaboration between Epitomics, the National Institutes of Health and the lab of Qing (Robert) Miao from the Medical College of Wisconsin.  This product was previously labelled as Nogo B receptor

Our RabMAb® technology is a patented hybridoma-based technology for making rabbit monoclonal antibodies. For details on our patents, please refer to RabMab® patents.

Target

  • Function

Acts as a specific receptor for the N-terminus of Nogo-B, a neural and cardiovascular regulator. Regulates the stability of nascent NPC2, thereby promoting trafficking of LDL-derived cholesterol.
Essential component of the dolichol monophosphate (Dol-P) biosynthetic machinery.
  • Pathway

    Protein modification; protein glycosylation.
  • Sequence similarities

Belongs to the UPP synthase family.
  • Cellular localization

Endoplasmic reticulum membrane. Colocalizes with Nogo-B during VEGF and wound healing angiogenesis.
