Sandwich ELISA Use at an assay dependent dilution.
ELISA Use a concentration of 10 µg/ml. Can be paired for ELISA with Mouse monoclonal [AS18] to NGF (Biotin) (ab16160). (For coating in a two site ELISA with biotin conjugated NGF antibody for mouse NGF). Two site ELISA.
Neutralising Use at an assay dependent dilution. This antibody has been used to neutralize > 90% human NGF bioactivity on PC12 cells at a 200 fold molar excess.

    Nerve growth factor is important for the development and maintenance of the sympathetic and sensory nervous systems. Extracellular ligand for the NTRK1 and NGFR receptors, activates cellular signaling cascades through those receptor tyrosine kinase to regulate neuronal proliferation, differentiation and survival. Inhibits metalloproteinase dependent proteolysis of platelet glycoprotein VI (PubMed:20164177).

We obtained better results in ELISA with TBS compared to PBS, so I definitely recommend using TBS if possible. The protocol details are as follows, if you need more details than this please let me know and I will contact the lab for them:



Capture ab16161, coat at 10 ug/ml

Detection ab16160, detect with 2 ug/ml

Sample volume: 25-200 uL

Use TBS, pH 7 rather than PBS
