Target

  • Function

Receptor for MICA, MICB, ULBP1, ULBP2, ULBP3 (ULBP2>ULBP1>ULBP3) and ULBP4. Plays a role as a receptor for the recognition of MHC class I HLA-E molecules by NK cells and some cytotoxic T-cells. Involved in the immune surveillance exerted by T- and B-lymphocytes.
  • Tissue specificity

Natural killer cells. Expressed on essentially all CD56+CD3- NK cells from freshly isolated PBMC. Also detected in gamma-delta cells and CD8+ alpha-beta T-cells. Expressed in interferon-producing killer dendritic cells (IKDCs).
  • Sequence similarities

    Contains 1 C-type lectin domain.
  • Cellular localization

    Membrane.

Images

  • Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections) analysis of human placental tissue section (4µm) labelling NKG2D with ab89807. Tissue was treated with 15µg/ml Protenase K for antigen retrieval and fixed with 4% PFA. A HRP-conjugated anti-mouse IgG was used as the secondary antibody (30 minutes at room temperature) followed by DAB color development.

Customer reviews and Q&As

Answer

Thank you for contacting us.

I contacted the laboratory in order to answer your questions. I can confirm that for the Anti-NKG2D antibody [MM0489-10R27] (ab89807) regrettably it is not known if it would block the interactions of NKG2D with its ligands. For that reason we can not give you a guarantee in this case. Regrettably I was not able to find any other products that fit your requirements and that was tested not to block the interaction of ligands with the NKG2D.

Furthermore we do not have an antibody that fits with all your requirements and that is conjugated to APC or PE. However, I can recommend to have a look at one of our conjugation kits that might be suitable to conjugate the used antibody.

If you decide to test one of our antibodies we would be pleased if you would submit an Abreview and chare your experiments.
