I've received the fixation and permeabilization protocol from the lab:

1.Add 500µl of 4% paraformaldehyde/PBS into each well, leave for 15mins at room temperature
2.Remove the paraformaldehyde and wash coverslips by PBS for 3mins, twice.
3.Add 500µl of 0.1% Triton X-100 in PBS for 4 mins.
4.Wash cells by PBS for 3mins, twice.

Both ab126238 and ab137816 work well in ICC with human cells, and they are both fully guaranteed to work in this assay. We don't have much feedback on these antibodies, and they haven't been tested side-by-side. Based on the data, it's difficult to say which is better. They have slightly different specificities (ab126238 for amino acids 1-197, and ab137816 for amino acids 138-192), other than that they are very similar. I am sorry that I don't have a particular suggestion.
