  • Jurkat (Human T cell leukemia cell line from peripheral blood) cells stained for NUR77 using ab13851 at a dilution of 1/50 in ICC/IF. Secondary used was a Dylight®488 conjugate (green). Alpha tubulin and nuclei were counterstained against Dylight®568 (Red) and DAPI (Blue), respectively.

The following reference describes the appearance of the protein in Western blots at sizes ranging from 63 - 88 kD, due to post-translational modifications: Fahrner TJ, et al. The NGFI-B protein, an inducible member of the thyroid/steroid receptor family, is rapidly modified posttranslationally. Mol Cell Biol. 1990 Dec;10(12):6454-9. PMID: 2247065 The article can be found at this link: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&list_uids=2247065 The note on the datasheet for ab41913 refers to the predicted size, based on the 64 kD molecular weight of the precursor, but the size of the band(s) on the blot will likely be heavier than this.

Thank you for your enquiry. Ab13851 - Rabbit polyclonal to NUR77 - was generated using the following peptide: TSTKARSGAPGGSEGR, corresponding to amino acids 251-266 of Human NUR77. This antibody cross-reacts with human and mouse and is predicted (it has not yet been tested) to react with Rat (87% identity with immunogen) due to sequence homology. This antibody works in Western blot (there is an image on the online datasheet) and has not yet been tested in other applications. We're currently not aware of any publications which have featured the use of ab13851. We also have ab1406 - Rabbit polyclonal to NUR77.
