Probably acts as a transcription repressor by recruiting chromatin-modifying enzymes to promoters. Potent inhibitor of E2F-mediated trans-activation. Forms a complex with adenovirus E1A and with SV40 large T antigen. May bind and modulate functionally certain cellular proteins with which T and E1A compete for pocket binding. May act as a tumor suppressor.

p107 was immunoprecipitated from Jurkat (human T cell leukemia cell line from peripheral blood) whole cell lysate (1 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) using ab245514 at 8 µl per reaction. Western blot was performed on the immunoprecipitate using ab245514 at 1/400 dilution.

Lane 2: Control IgG IP in Jurkat cell lysate.
