      Pancreatic hormone is synthesized in pancreatic islets of Langerhans and acts as a regulator of pancreatic and gastrointestinal functions and may be important in the regulation of food intake. Plasma levels of this hormone have been shown to be reduced in conditions associated with increased food intake and elevated in anorexia nervosa. In addition, infusion of this hormone in obese rodents has shown to decrease weight gain.

    Yes, if your customer purchases both and submits a review for each, then they can receive two free antibodies. We will need to issue you two codes, or the customer directly, which they then need to include in the reviews, one code for each review of each antibody.

    One potential difficulty, which has already been pointed out, is that the detection antibody will either need to be directly conjugated to an enzyme, fluorochrome or biotin via the EasyLink kits we offer or it will need to be followed by a conjugated IgG sub-class-specific secondary antibody, since both antibodies are mouse IgG. Antibody ab37285 is IgG1, and ab37286 is IgG2a.

    I also have heard back from the supplying lab who let me know thatab37285 was used as capture antibody at 1 µg/ml, and thatbiotinylated ab37273 (which is however notoffered by supplying lab) was used as detection antibody at 0.1 µg/ml. These are only guidelines for the dilutions. I do not have any further protocol information.

    We have several conjugation kits that the customer could choose from (https://www.abcam.com/EasyLink). The biotinylation would not be exclusive, and other conjugations can be used as well - depending on the detection system the customer has available to him.

    The protocol should be more clear now that the customer knows which antibody is for capturing and for detection. The secondary antibody will need to be left out as the detection antibody should conjugated.

    I can confirm that ab37285 and ab37273 have been tested together in a sandwich ELISA. Unfortunately, we have no biotinylated version of these clones for sale. However, we do havesome biotin conjugation kits that may be helpful. This could be used to conjugate the detection antibody. I can recommend to review the online datasheets for further information.

    ab112475was indeed a duplicate and is now unpublished.

    Please be aware that the antibody has only been tested in ELISA so for and we can only guarantee this application. However, the buffer is carbohydrateand protein free so it may be suitablefor your experiments as well.
