      Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,
wir haben letzte Woche den Anti-F4/80 PE (ab105156) bei Ihnen gekauft
für FACS Anwendungen. Um die richtigen IgG-Kontrollen machen zu können
fehlt uns die Konzentrationsangabe des Antikörpers.
Könnten Sie mir die bitte schicken?
      Vielen Dank.

      Answer

      Answer

      Thank you for your inquiry.

I can confirm that the volume of ab105156 is 500ul per vial. The concentration cannot be determined since this a PE-conjugated antibody. An estimatewould be ˜ 0.1mg/ml.

I suggest to use two concentrations for the first experiment to get results that will be meaningful for further optimization. I recommend 1:50 and and 1:500. Optimal concentrations always have to be determined by the end user.

I am sorry I could not provide a more exact answer to your question on this occasion and hope this information is nevertheless helpful to your customer.

      Question

Hi,   May I know what it means by '1X50 tests' for ab105156? What is the antibody's concentration and volume? I want an antibody for IF on frozen tissue sections. Is there any optimized concentration for that purpose?   Thank you.   Best,

      Asked on Nov 14 2011

      Answer

Thank you for your query. I can confirm that the unconjugated clone of ab105156 was typically used at around 10ug/ml for frozen sections. However, I would still recommend to titrate the antibody in order to determine the optimal concentration for your specific experimental requirements. Although we have not specifically measured the concentration of the antibody after conjugation, based on our records, we would expect the concentration of this product to be approximately 0.1mg/ml. 50 test means this antibody can be used for 50 tests in flow cytometry when used at 10µl for 10 x 6 cells (in 100 µl.). I hope this information is helpful. Please do not hesitate to contact me again if you have any further questions.

      Answer

Thank you for your interest. Just to confirm ab105156 is a primary antibody which is conjugated to PE. This means that it is not necessary to apply a compatible secondary antibody for detection. For further details (tested applications, purification, unit size etc) please take a look at the on-line datasheet: https://www.abcam.com/f4-80-antibody-ci-a3-1-phycoerythrin-ab105156.html If you need any further assistance in the future, please do not hesitate to cont
