  • Relevance

    The phosphorylation of specific tyrosine residues has been shown to be a primary mechanism of signal transduction during normal mitogenesis, cell cycle progression and oncogenic transformation, its role in other areas such as differentiation and gap junction communication, is a matter of active and ongoing research. Antibodies that specifically recognize phosphorylated tyrosine residues have proved to be invaluable to the study of tyrosine phosphorylated proteins and the biochemical pathways in which they function.

I can confirm that these two antibodies (ab9319 and ab9332) recognize modified amino acid residues (phosphotyrosine and phosphoserine respectively) on any proteins including murine samples. You are correct that mouse samples can be used as positive control for both antibodies.

You could use the mouse fibroblast cells as positive control. First, remove the old medium and culture the cells in a serum-free medium for 24 hours. Then empty the dish again and treat the cell with the fetal calf serum media containing 1 mM Vanadium for 30 min. After that harvest the cells and use the cell lysate as positive control.
