Since the authors say they used an Abcam PHT1 antibody, and ab64429 is our only PHT1 antibody, I do believe that they used ab64429. I certainly understand that you don't want to purchase an antibody that might not work with both species, however we don't have small samples of our antibodies to send out. In this case, we can offer the testing discount program which reduces the financial risk of using an untested antibody.

I don't have access to the journal in which the article is published- do you have a PDF that you could send? Currently we aren't aware of any publications in which ab64429 was used. I ran an alignment of the immunogen against the mouse Slc15a4 sequence, and there is 79% identity between the sequences. It's possible that the antibody will cross-react with mouse protein, but the homology isn't quite high enough to predict this (generally 85-90% homology predicts cross-reactivity).
