Product code: 11936
Inquiry: Dear Sir or madam, I wonder if I can trouble you for some assistance. My group have previously used and published staining using the anti-podoplanin antibody ab11936. Orginally when doing this work the antibody was the only antibody available and no clone was listed. Firstly, would you be able to tell me what the clone is? Secondly, we wish to purchase a podoplanin antibody however, I notice that there is now a second antibody that reacts with mouse and can be used for IHC available ab92319 clone 8.1.1 and we are trying to decide which to go with. Could you advise on differences between the antibodies and if there is any improvement/benefit with ab92319 compared to ab11936. Thank you for your assistance Best wishes

Thank you for your enquiry and your interest in our products.
I can confirm that the clone number of ab11936 is RTD4E10 which can be found in the brackets of the target name as well as on the on-line product datasheet under the clone number.
ab11936:Anti-Podoplanin / gp36 antibody - [RTD4E10]
Both antibodies recognize murine Podoplanin, however ab92319 has only been characterized in IHC-Fr.
On the other hand, ab11936 has been tested in different types of immunohistochemistry ie.e IHC-FoFr, IHC-Fr, IHC-P. If you have used ab11936 successfully in the past and are satisfied with it, I would recommend performing the staining experiments with this product, though the final decision is yours.
If you need any further assistance in the future, please do not hesitate to contact me.
