ELISA Use at an assay dependent dilution.
Sandwich ELISA Use at an assay dependent dilution. Can be paired for Sandwich ELISA with Mouse monoclonal [45D5] to Poliovirus type 3 (ab47821). Ab47803 is recommended as capture antibody and recommended pair as detection antibody.
Neutralising Use at an assay dependent dilution. Use in combination with ab47821 to neutralize concentrated virus for at least 12 days.

Target

  • Relevance

    Poliovirus, the causative agent of poliomyelitis, was first isolated nearly 100 years ago. It may infect the nervous system and cause lasting paralysis. Poliovirus is a single stranded RNA virus and a member of the Picornavirus family. It has three strains: Poliovirus 1, 2 and 3. Replication of poliovirus RNA is accomplished by the error-prone viral RNA-dependent RNA polymerase. The cell receptor for poliovirus is CD155.
