    • Product overview

Abcam's fluorescence imaging kits are a set of fluorescence imaging tools for labeling sub-cellular organelles such as lysosomes, mitochondria, and actin filaments. The selective staining of cell compartments provides a powerful method for studying cellular events in a spatial and temporal context.

ab112136 is designed to label lysosomes in live cells with green fluorescence at Ex/Em = 490/525 nm. The proprietary lysotropic dye used in the kit selectively accumulates in lysosomes probably via the lysosome pH gradient. The lysotropic indicator is a hydrophobic compound that easily permeates intact live cells, and is trapped in lysosomes after it gets into cells. Its fluorescence is significantly enhanced upon entering lysosomes. This key feature significantly reduces its staining background and makes it useful for a variety of studies, including cell adhesion, chemotaxis, multidrug resistance, cell viability, apoptosis and cytotoxicity. It is suitable for proliferating and non-proliferating cells, and can be used for both suspension and adherent cells.

    Asked on Jan 24 2013

    Answer

The green fluorescence of the ab112136 lysosome stain does not persist after PFA fixation, but the fluorescence of CytoPainter lysosome stains that contain these other fluorochromes does:

    Orange - ab138895

    Red - ab112137

    Deep red - ab138896.

    Answer

Clathrin: Vesiclesvom Golgizu Plasmamembran , Golgizu Endosomes, PMzu Endosomes
    COPI: Vesiclesvom Golgizu ER,
    COPII: Vesiclesvom ERzu Golgi

https://www.abcam.com/USO1-antibody-ab74867.html (or use the following: https://www.abcam.com/USO1-antibody-ab74867.html).

IF. https://www.abcam.com/SEC23A-antibody-ab99552.html (or use the following: https://www.abcam.com/SEC23A-antibody-ab99552.html).
